If you stay for the two week period it may be possible to make one visit to school before your discharge from hospital. This will be for a meeting with the link teacher and may also include meeting with a friend or friends. At the meeting it is will be agreed when you will return to school and whether this will be full time or a phased return starting part time.
If you are in hospital for six weeks it is possible that a visit to school will be made after four weeks and increasing time spent at home and school until the discharge CPA review. Decisions on return to school are made on an individual basis and it may be that you have a meeting followed by one lesson with the remainder of the re-integration taking place after discharge. It is important that you tell your key teacher how you feel about school and the thought of return so that we can support you.
